Cheese Dairies Are Booming

Until 2006 we were especially contributing to the goat breeding and the dairy production. After having finished this project we had many good news from the places of our ancient projects. The contact in the Embassy of North Korea has told us about the encouraging development of the cheese dairies:

The joy to produce cheese
The joy to produce cheese

¬ĽAs much as I know more than 300 new cheese dairies with different capacities were opened all over the country during the last 15 years. Most of them are working between 100 and 1,000 l of milk per day, some of them, e.g. those from Wonsan and Kyenam can even treat more than 5,000 litres a day. It is difficult to learn how much the average of produced cheese and yoghurt is because the quantity depends very much on the season, the food situation, the meat production, etc.

However, one thing is for sure: The demand of cheese has been increasing, and therefore its production, too as cheese can be conserved for a long time, tastes good and can be used in many different manners. The practical advantages towards yoghurt are quite evident for the Korean consumers and making cheese is more profitable. Recently I received another demand for a practical training in cheese making in Switzerland.

Among the cheese dairies the ancient places of Agape international projects are most successful as to the quality and the economic viability.

Among the cheese dairies the ancient places of Agape international projects are most successful nowadays, such as in Kubin, Un zong, Kyenam, and Hamzu, as to the quality and economic viability. They have profited much from your help. By the way, I want to thank Agape international for the contribution to the development of the Sepo Plateau.’
